Boom

I've been walking through your streets
Where all your money's earned
Where all your buildings are crying
And clueless neckties working

Revolving fake lawn houses
Housing all your fears
Desenisitized by T.V
Overbearing advertising

Gods of consumers

And all your crooked creatures looking good
Mirrors filtering information through the public eye
Designed for profit sharing
Your neighbour what a guy

Modern globalization
Coupled with condemnations
Unnecessary death
Matador Corporations

Puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag
Manufacturing consent is the name of the game
The bottom line is money and nobody gives a fuck
Four thousand hungry children leave us per hour from starvation

While BILLIONS are spent creating death showers

Why must we kill our own kind?..?
Everytime we drop the bomb.

-System of a Down

I'm actualy sort of in favor of globalization. Contrary to proper belief, it actually decreases povery rates and war.

On a larger scale, I can definitely see your point...but so much more could be done if corporations weren't so concerned with their money...(ei: the U.S' "accidential" bombing of a medicine plant in Africa).

Its one of my favourite songs...The video they did was created with the help of Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine, author of Stupid White Men)...I recommend all of his works...especially Columbine.

YEP! ...it's a crazy mad world we live in, and as we are all learning some of the most potent psychopaths are not necessarily serial killers, but heads of large corporations...which we support with our spending ($$$$), and i am certainly as guilty as the next person, (books being my #1 weakness, with chocolate running a close 2nd.)

I actually considered joining a commune (called Edenvale, in Langley) when my daughter was about 12. I went for a couple of meetings and interviews, but chickened out; i have also investigated one operated by the Vapanessa Group, but i do not want to live in India, or Merritt, BC.

The nuclear family as it exists today certainly serves consumerism, and in my opinion, not the individual, i think proof of which are all the homeless people. Since steam was harnessed as a tool of industry, civilization has been on the moral decline, i think. (well, it is probably more complicated than that)....i could elucidate (???) all day on this subject, but the sun is shining and i must go out for a walk (i have found the nest of two red-tailed hawks i think!!!)

Ja, those are very poignant lyrics, System of a Down is a group, no? i wish i could remember the tune; i want sound, but i have to spend time downloading the program and i keep getting sidetracked. ...well, big bird is calling, lol

luv ya,
pj
